Our approach to Safety

At the Dewpoint Group we have a positive safety culture.  We believe that our staff whether they come to work in our office or on one of our project sites have a right to expect a safe and healthy work environment.  As a family business it is our number one priority that each of us returns home safely after a day’s work.

The Dewpoint Group recognises that the Construction Industry is a high risk environment.

The Dewpoint Group’s “Safepoint” safety system is designed to promote the health and safety of all our employees and subcontractors. We take measurable steps to establish a safe, risk-free work environment and to ensure the prevention of injury and illness through a process of continual improvement.

In consultation with our staff we have put in place systems to prevent accidents and assess hazards in the workplace.  Safe work method statements (SWMS) are produced for each activity undertaken on by our staff.

Personal protection equipment (PPE) is supplied by the Dewpoint Group and is used by all employees to assist in protecting against potential risks.

All of the Dewpoint Group’s Site Supervisors have attained a qualification in First Aid and CPR.

All accidents or near misses are recorded and investigated and as soon as possible following any injury our Rehabilitation & Return to Work Co-ordinator will establish a rehabilitation programme to manage our employee’s return to work.

The Dewpoint Group have a number of policies which must be adhered to by all staff. These include:

Occupational Health and Safety Policy
